The Holy fish is the Ichthys( the Ancient and Classical Greek word for "Fish") symbol(Consisting of two intersecting arcs, the ends of the right side extending beyond the meeting point so as to resemble the profile of a fish and said to have been used by early christian as a secret symbol and now known colloquially as the "Jesus fish" and the "holy mackerel.") by early christians appears to date from towards the end of the 1st century AD. Ichthus (Greek for fish) is an acronym, which is a word formed from the initial letters of the several words in the name. It compiles to "Jesus Christ God's Son is Saviour" or "Jesus Christ God's Son Saviour". |

| The reason we chosed the ash wood as the material has been because it was said that Jesus was crucifyied on a ash wood cross. | |||
| An ash originally and most commonly refers to trees of the genus Fraxinus (from Latin "ash tree") in the olive family Oleaceae. The Tree reaches heights of 70-80 feet with a trunk diameter of 24-36". Boles are often straight and clear of branches for 30-50 feet. . | |||
| The wood is hard, tough and very strong but elastic, extensively used for making bows, tool handles, quality wooden baseball bats, hurley sticks and other uses demanding high strength and resilience. It is also used as material for guitar bodies, known for its bright, cutting tone and sustaining quality. Ash veneers are extensively used in office furniture. The two most economically important species for wood production are White Ash in eastern North America, and European Ash in Europe. | |||
| Ash has been used for many years in furniture production. Since Ash are extremely dense and tends to have a tighter grain and has less knots. As timber dries knots tend to lead to splits resulting in surface deformation and in extreme cases the knot falls out leaving a hole. This is far less prevalent with ash which dries more uniformly and has a more pleasing pippy look to the grain with less variation in colour and strength. | |||

Some say, that tree is still existed today..So, the olive wood has its solemn meaning. Not unusually, the olive tree grows in the Holy Land and can survive for up to 2, 000 years. It is the symbol of Eternal-Life. |
| Also, the olive tree has been highly admired since ancient times and was proclaimed as a "Blessed Tree". The people planted Olive Tree in various part of the Holy Land to spread the cultivation. Moreover, the oil from olives was used to ancient priests, prophets and kings to enpower them as well as to pray for their healings. |
